About

I’m the author of the Poseur series! What’s it about, you ask?
Four high school girls who love fashion (but hate each other) are forced together to create a designer label for their exclusive LA private school. Can a cool coquette, a shy punk, a ghetto-glam egomaniac, and a hippie goddess make peace for couture? Welcome to Winston Prep–where wardrobe means war.
Um… it’s also about boys. To a kind of embarrassing degree.
In addition to being an author, I’m also an aspiring background dancer, proud cat-owner, and born-and-raised Valley girl. Valley girls are supposed to be all blonde and tan, but I am brunette (my stylist says I’m a perfect chestnut but my best friend Annie says I’m a “regular brown” because she’s a B.) Also, I am pale. This is why I moved to Brooklyn, where everyone is so brunette and/or pale that I look positively blonde in comparison. Another “about me” thing is I totally heart fashion. The first sign of this was when I was nine months old and entertained my whole family and friends by walking down the dining room table like it was a runway. When I got to the end of the table I popped a hip, whipped off my diaper, and flung it across my shoulder like a cape. I knew this was an awesome move because as I walked to the other end of the table my parents and their friends all clapped and said things like “amazing” and “incroyable!” Ever since then I knew fashion was my destiny.
